We finally cleaned our registers and filters; we called one of those companies that advertise in the coupon mailers, $42 for a whole house duct cleaning. Of course they are such bait and switchers; as soon as they came over they claimed they couldn't vacuum it and that we needed to replace all our duct. Good thing my dad is a GC; we didn't fall for their overpriced ploy. We did get a new hepa washable filter (had disposable ones before which were disgusting). Now, just have to remember to actually wash them once a year. I'm really scared to look behind my fridge. If I ignore it, will it go away??
yeah....stuff gets amazing gross, and the longer you wait, the worse it gets. i don't think our fridge had ever ever ever had its coils cleaned, and it's over 20 years old. it was soooo nasty. the more we cleaned, the more dirt we found! bonus round! i'm glad my mom was here to help. :)
