I'm a sucker for funky vintage lamps, case in point this burnt orange ceramic beehive one I got for $8 at the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store in Lincoln Heights, LA. After we moved it across country, it started making crackling, popping sounds when we would turn it one. I am finally getting around to rewiring it.
I decided to try to learn to do this myself, using a hardware store lamp kit.
Never done this before, but so far, so good. Here's my underwriter's knot:
