Porch Projects

With the 4th of July weekend upon us last Friday, we decided to clean up the back porch. We had some friends coming over for a cookout, to which they had to bring their own grill.

You may remember this area?



Well, with an afternoon of cleaning...



And some time spent on the ladder moving around the window shades...



And a sidewalk-find table, plus some saw horses and the old basement door, we now have this:



Improvement, yes? Still no window screens, but with the fan going and five citronella candles lit, we can stay relatively bug free. However, since it's been hot enough to boil an owl out there, we haven't actually sat out there too much. Maybe in the fall...
